Research funding

Funding strategy follows scientific concept selection

The initiative is evaluating potential European and national routes. For Dr. Josef Scheiber, the ERC Advanced Grant is now the principal ERC route under strategic evaluation; no application decision, endorsement, award or guaranteed funding is claimed.

Funding position

Research programme and proposal architecture are still in development

References to the ERC or other funding bodies describe possible routes being assessed. Dr. Scheiber's January 2007 PhD defence places him outside the regular 2027 Starting and Consolidator Grant windows; the Advanced Grant therefore becomes the relevant ERC route to test against his recent scientific track record. This does not indicate endorsement, support, application status or award.

Potential routes

Three funding families under strategic review

The final route will depend on the selected scientific concept, verified researcher profile and host environment.

Assessment protocol

What must be established before a funding decision

Current official documentation will govern every formal assessment at the time a specific call is selected.

  • Formal eligibility and applicant architecture
  • Scientific fit with the scheme's evaluation logic
  • Host-institution capability and resource access
  • Preliminary-evidence requirements and timing
  • Budget, duration, risk and implementation coherence
  • Compliance with the current official call documents
